Getting Ready for the Beach

It is winter in Canada. It is cold and we are getting some snow. This is the perfect time to think of the warm weather of summer and get prepared for the beach.  That is why I have started the Beachbody 21 Day Fix, nutrition plan and Shakeology.  At only 30 minutes a day and being available online and on DVD, this is help me with my goal to look good in a bathing suit this summer, but conveniently allow me to workout anywhere.

I have been using Beachbody product such as TurboJam for years but just before Christmas I made the jump full force: become a Beachbody Coach and do the 21 Day Fix.

If you are interested in learning more about Beachbody 21 Day Fix, email me at rebecca.clinch@readwatchcreate.com or connect with me on TeamBeachbody and I would be happy to answer any questions you have and help you get started too.

Tory Burch now open in Sherway Gardens

I was at Sherway Gardens this weekend, visiting Tiffany and noticed Tory Burch is now open a few doors down.  Wow it looks amazing.  The entrance gives the impression of a small boutique as you walk in and are greeted in a small foyer with some featured items.

Once inside you turn right and see the full store in its grandeur.  The lights make the gold shelves shimmer and direct you to their selection of great products.

This display in particular stood out showcasing their variety of colors for their products.

The decor makes shopping here comfortable and the displays showcase the products well.  We can't wait to go back next time as there are a few pairs of shoes I would love to add to my collection.

Spring Shoe Challenge

We all know the list of must haves for our wardrobes. To be honest the perfect pair of nude pumps has eluded me for a very long time. In preparation for this spring I asked my husband for the perfect pair for my birthday.

The hunt is always been my favorite part of any shopping trip from gift giving to new additions to my home or wardrobe. So I started looking in the dead of winter for the silhouette that I couldn't stop thinking about. I knew it was going to take me some time and I was prepared to look everywhere including last seasons sale rack and placing a pre-order for the up coming season.

With these thoughts top of mind I started by searching online so I'd know what style I really wanted. It's no surprise when I say the options are endless. However I did come across a beautiful pair of Manolo Blahnik Tayler d'Orsay pointed pump. Honestly these are a beautiful classic pair of pumps. They're exactly what I'd been looking for. I was so excited I tired to order them immediately however I quickly found these pumps are not available to be shipped to Canada. Disappointed my hunt continued...

I decided to take a trip to Yorkdale in the heart of Toronto. I shopped from one end of the mall to the other checking out every store I could think of.  At Holt Renfrew I tried on the Valentino Rockon Pump in nude. They've always been on my radar however this trendy piece was not exactly what I'd been looking for.  I visited Jimmy Choo next and tried on a pair of Sling back pumps again beautiful but not exactly what I was hoping for. Finally I found myself at Davids Footwear. At this point I had tried on so many different styles my head was swimming. I still couldn't get those D'orsay pumps out of my mind.

While browsing Davids winter sale I came across a pair of  black Jimmy Choo Addison D'orsay pumps. I immediately asked if they were available in nude. Sure enough they were! One small victory... but they didn't have them in store. I asked to to try on the Valentino Rockon pump they didn't have my size in nude so they brought out the orange. The pop of colour was simply delicious! Which explains why there was an immediate response from my husband and another customer walking past me. She made one simple comment that helped me make up my mind. she pointed and said "Oh Yes!"

At the cash I decided to order the nude Addison pump as well. I'd spent so much time searching for these pumps I wasn't about to pass them up! Needless to say we had a great day of shopping I felt completely spoiled and  happy with my choices. We've been back to Davids Footwear since that shopping trip. The service is outstanding.

Davids in Yorkdale has amazing service

We went to Yorkdale on Saturday looking for a nude pump and met Lisa. She was very helpful as we looked at Manolo and Valentino.  They did not have them in our size for that color but Bloor did so she arranged to order them if they fit and helped us try on a black pair of Manonos in that  size and the same for Valentinos.  When we tried the valentinos in coral we just had to get them and order the Manolos. Our experience with Davids and we definitely will return. We highly recommend working with Lisa.

Shopping in las Vegas

I just got back from a fabulous week long trip to Las Vegas! You know what that means. Lots of shopping!

Here's a run down of my favorite places to shop and my fabulous finds.  I started the week off hitting Fashion Show mall first. It's everything you want and more. Indeed it is aptly named, Watching the stage rise from the floor and the music cue up for a Top Shop fashion show was a great way to set the mood and start my shopping trip. While at Fashion Show I focused on the major department stores. I had specific pieces on my wish list making department stores the the perfect place to start. My first stop was Nordstrom I spent a good deal of time in the jewelry department looking a the wide selection of costume pieces. I decided on an adorable House of Harlow 1960 Wrap bracelet then I was off to Nieman Marcus where I met a lovely associate who did her best to help me find the perfect Diane Von Furstenberg  wrap dress. Alas it was not to be, instead I fell in love with a beautiful DVF olive green silk blouse at an amazing price. The service was above and beyond my expectations of any department store these ladies helped me fulfill the first part of my wish list.

The next day I found myself wandering through The Forum Shops at Ceasar's Palace. This winding mall boast a beautiful ambiance that sets this experience apart. I decided I wanted to hit Coach first. As soon as I walked through the doors I was greeted with a warm welcome from the staff. Again I was struck by the beauty of the store decorated in warm grey. Once I had taken in my surroundings I took the time to fall in love with Stuart Vevers new line. Kudos to Coach for setting the bar high and exceeding all expectations. I can't wait to get my new Coach Tatum Tall Tote!

As I continued through the Forum Shops I found myself at Christian Louboutin. Having a beautiful pair of black patent pumps with red soles has always been high on my wish list. I was set on trying the Fifi pump so I ventured in and  I explained what made my perfect dream pump to the associate. She immediately understood and suggested I try the Hi Elisa in kid leather. I'm happy to say they're stunning, sexy and absolutely perfect in every way!
My last shopping day was spent at the Venetian. This mall has the best attraction running right down the middle of it. Imagine being serenaded as you float through this picturesque mall on The Gondola ride. As I ticked off items on my wishlist I found myself in Jimmy Choo chatting with a lovely associate, we chatted for a while as I tried on shoes and decided what else I needed to add to my ever growing shoe collection.

Two things stand out for me as I'm writing about my trip. Firstly, Las Vegas has made luxury shopping an experience for all of your senses. Secondly the staff at all these beautiful high end boutiques are warm and inviting. They genuinely care how you're enjoying their city.

As Always have fun shopping and don't forget to share your fab finds!
